The recorder trio NordicBlock is a constellation consisting of Eero Saunamäki, Finland, Anna Lehto, Finland and me. We just had our premiere this weekend with a concert at the German Church in Helsinki, Finland.
We met 2 years ago at the festival Musica Antiqua in Bolzano, Italy and has since then been working on meeting again and giving concerts. This was the first one and it will be followed allready this summer with two concerts in Copenhagen, Denmark in june. For more information the “Koncertkalender”.
The program we played was a mix of early german music and contemporary. And we even had a premiere in the program. We played Giogio Colombo Taccani: Il mare immobile for three bass recorders in a version written for us. Then we had Kazimerz Serocki, Werner Haider, Kikuko Masumoto and Quantz, Telemann and Bach.
We are really looking forward to play again this summer in Copenhagen. Hope to see as many as posible at the concerts.
