1000 years old “swing” assimilates with modernism, electronica and abstract improvisation
Medieval and Renaissance compositions, modernism, electronics and improvisation in one.

Izar plays both catchy and complex medieval and renaissance compositions, a.o. from the approximately 800 years old ‘Manuscript du Roi’ and mixes it with electronically processed sounds and aesthetics from modernism and improvisation. The music communicates over a period of approximately 1000 years. Ancient “swing” assimilates with modernism, electronica and abstract improvisation.

Guestmusicans for the CPH Jazzfestival concert:
The group is originally a duo concisting of Pernille Petersen (recorders) and Magnus Olsen Majmon (percussion). In 2012 the group expands their concerts with two guest star performers: Rudiger Meyer (electronics) and Rasmus Kjøller (accordeon). All group members are fully respected at their respective scenes (classical, composition, folk, improv).

Also:
Izar also plays Fanø Free Folk Festival as a duo Saturday july 28th.
Come to Fanø 🙂
